Description: A year-and-a-half after the box set release, Pioneer began to issue the Gatchaman II LaserDiscs for sale individually. The discs ended up being cheaper to purchase this way, but they didn't offer any new additional bonus materials. There was an offer to send away for the special booklet that came with the initial box set. Each of the individual releases came with its own storage bag and obi strip not included in the box set (Volumes 1 through 3 are pictured above). The previous problems of the edit marks being visible persisted on these discs, which isn't exactly a surprise given that the same exact pressings were used for these editions. These individual LaserDiscs and the box set were the only way to see Gatchaman II for nearly a decade (until its eventual release on DVD), as no other episodes of it had never been released to any other format of official Japanese home video.
